"Since 2006 our mission has never changed: Install your custom home electronics automation system right the first time."

A Special Note from Rudy Stebih, Founder & Lead Engineer

If you were going to install Smart Home technology in your home, where would you start? I’m sure if you had the time you could read a book or watch some custom electronics YouTube channels. But what if you really wanted it done right the first time?

How can I help. . .

It all started in the late 70’s when I completely re-wired the television studio in high school. In the 80’s, right out of high school, I got my first job working in live theatre as the head sound engineer. It’s here where I learned 90% of my knowledge with electronics.

In the 90’s, I went on to work the film and video business first as a location sound recordist, later moving on to video editing. Which led me to working in a corporate communications environment creating sales videos and broadcasting live meetings for the CEO throughout the company and nationally.

2000 brought in the year of working on the cruise ships once again as the head sound engineer as well as being asked to install equipment in brand new ships in such places as the Port of Italy!

My first daughter was born in 2000 and being on ship meant I was at sea for 5-6 months at a time. After missing the first 5 months of her life I realized it was time to come home.

Soon after I started working at the local TV station as the sound engineer for the local news hour.

It was right around the mid 2000’s I decided to take my vast knowledge of experience & skill in installing and programming in the professional market and apply them to the residential market.

But, I quickly realized that homeowners were being left in the cold by their installers.

They either charged too little just to get the job but ran out of money and could not finish. Or they just got way over their heads and disappeared leaving the homeowners with $1000’s of non-working technology.

And so, for the past 3 or 4 years, my primary business model has been to take-over abandoned installations, turn them around and make then work as the homeowner had originally intended.

It was in the last year when I decided to create the first of its kind, Automation University to help homeowners incorporate Smart Home technology into their home on their own, as well as teach integrators how to install custom home technology the right way, the first time.

So, if you want to install Smart Home technology the right way, I promise you that our training and coaching here at Digiconcepts will help you get there.

And, if you're willing to put in the effort and are committed to making your dream a reality, then we're always available to help 🙂

Happy Learning!

P.S. Today I have two beautiful daughters who have been dancing since the age of 3 who are now on track to work as dancers on the cruise ships.
